Co-Pastor Carla Allen

Picture
Carla Maria Allen grew up attending Greater Grace Temple, under the Pastor-ship of the late Bishop David L. Ellis.  She was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of fifteen.  After being united in holy matrimony to Gilbert Lamard Allen in 1985, they felt led by the Lord to attend his father's church, Apostolic Church of God in Christ Jesus, presently known as Greater Apostolic Church.  Co-Pastor Carla Allen grew even more spiritually strong under the rich word taught and preached by her father-in-law, Bishop Gilbert Lee Allen.

In 1995, Co-Pastor obeyed the voice of God and preached her first message title, "Chosen to Be Tested".  She continues to do the Will of God assisting her husband with preaching, teaching and the administrative work for the Greater Life Apostolic Church.

Co-Pastor thanks God for her parents, Evangelist Wilhelmina Phipps and Trustee Bennie Phipps, who allowed her to develop a love for the Lord for herself.  She thanks the Lord for Pastors who preached and taught the Word of God that helped her grow both spiritually and naturally.  She gives God Praise and Thanks for her husband and children, who are the joy of her life.

Co-Pastor Carla Allen was able to fulfill her dream and return to Wayne State University.  There is where she graduated and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education in December of 2001.  She worked five years in the classroom teaching children and three years in Administration as the Title One Facilitator. Co-Pastor graduated in December of 2013 with her Master’s Degree in Special Education with the concentration area of Learning Disabilities. God has impressed upon her spirit from the time she was a little girl to implement a Christian School. With God’s help and the numerous prophetic words to confirm this, she has placed in motion the beginning stages to see this school implemented and opening soon. Her intent is to help educate children to love God and have a strong educational background to help them live according to 3 John 1:2 which states, “I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your souls prosper.”
